Recruitment & Selection Solutions

InterviewFor over 20 years, THG Ireland has supported its Clients by taking on some or all of their recruitment & selection activities on an occasional or ongoing basis as needed.

We have worked with our Clients on both internal and external selection assignments and have always used the opportunity to coach the selection team and enhance their knowledge and skills in a live setting.

Our Recruitment & Selection Support Services are focused on our Client’s needs and build on our McQuaig and consulting work with that Client.  We bring to bear our Consultant’s experience of working with clients across all industry sectors and at all levels from frontline to CEO/Director.

THG Ireland can also draw on the support of experienced partners in the Recruitment Industry to broker the services needed to meet our Client’s expectations.  This means that the Client has just one point of contact with the campaign, rather than trying to co-ordinate the activities of several different agencies.

Retention & Development Solutions

Retention and DevelopmentAt THG Ireland we have almost 30 years experience in the People Development Business.  Our experience has taught us that employees do not leave their job, they leave their boss.  Many of our solutions involve the development of the manager and organisation culture.

An organisation with a strong people development philosophy is an organisation that holds onto and grows with its people.  It retains knowledge and experience and builds its expertise in serving its customers and markets.  It builds a significant competitive edge.

Organisations are never successful, only people can be successful.  A successful organization is a measure of their ability to recruit and retain successful people.

Our 20 years of experience with the highly respected McQuaig System™ of psychometric assessment has given us the insight to identify those development needs that are meaningful to the individual and meet the needs of the organisation.  This is a genuine win/win situation.

The McQuaig Self Development Report identifies an individual’s core strengths and areas that may need development.  In an easy to read report, it provides the tips and suggestions that allow for this development.

These simple to use reports can be used by the individual themselves as a self development aid, or with the support of a Coach/Mentor.  Ideally they should be used as part of a formal Performance Development Process, where the line manager works with the individual on a regular, structured basis to make use of the report in a live work situation.

The tool has a wide range of applications including: Induction, Performance Management, Self Development and Team Development.

Coaching & Mentoring Services

A helping handTHG Ireland has over 25 years experience in the field of human development through assessment, training, coaching and consulting.  The combined experience of our Consultants is considerably more than that.

Through the use of our assessment tools, we enable clients to gain a firm understanding of their core strengths and areas for further development.

We currently offer two Coaching services both focusing on the individual’s needs.  We can deal with our Coaching Clients privately or on behalf of their employer.  Both of our services have a similar content, but the focus on results differs.

Leadership Coaching

For the great majority of managers, the step from Managing to Leadership presents a huge hurdle.  Leadership is not about being a better or more effective manager.  Leadership is something on an entirely different level.

Leaders are not born.  For a small few, they will have learned the skills of leadership during their upbringing and so seem to appear magically capable and competent into the workplace.  However, for the rest, it has been a long slow process of learning these skills by trial and error.

At THG Ireland we can help Aspiring Leaders to make the right moves and get the right development and supports in place to make the journey from manager to leader - faster, with fewer mistakes and with a solid foundation of learning that will take them steadily through the process.
